What are induction visits?
These are visits to prisoners who have been in custody for less than seven days, and who have not received a visit yet.
Visitors are able to attend an induction visit without prior booking on a Thursday morning.
It does not matter where the prisoner has spent his seven days in custody.
The induction visit is only for people who have not already had a visit. If you have already received a visit since being in HMP Wandsworth, your visitors will be turned away.
Any visitors with children attempting to visit prisoners under MAPPA arrangements will be turned away.
Your visitors must bring ID with them - without it, they will not be allowed in.

How do I arrange an induction visit?
There is no need to arrange an induction visit in advance. Simply go to the pact visitors' centre (17 Heathfield Road, London SW18) on a Thursday at 9am. This is a semi-detached house just outside the prison.
When you arrive at the visitors' centre, you will be welcomed by pact family support workers and 'First Night in Custody' link
workers, who will take down the details of the person you have come to visit.
You will then go over into the prison at 10am.

What ID must I bring?
