PACT STARTS WORK AT EASTWOOD PARK WOMEN'S PRISON

A pact Family Liaison Worker has started work at HMP Eastwood Park, a women's prison in rural Gloucestershire.

Vics Brown, who previously worked for pact at Exeter Prison, has taken on the challenge of providing support for the children and families of the 360 inmates, two-thirds of whom have a child under 16.

The prison population at HMP Eastwood Park includes mothers, foreign nationals, drug addicts and alcoholics. Some imprisoned mothers have their children taken into care or adopted whilst they are in jail.

Vics will be working to support women inmates through these incredibly difficult, traumatic experiences.
