LONDON MARATHON RUNNERS RAISE OVER £7,000 FOR PACT

On Sunday the 25th of April four fit and determined people ran the London Marathon – an incredible 26 miles from Black Heath to the Mall. Alongside some of the fastest people in the world, our runners went the whole distance for pact and are well on their way to raising a combined total of over £7,000.

Thank you to Joseph, our youngest runner yet, Johanna who finished in a speedy 3 hours and 55 minutes, to Ben from Devon, who made it to the capital just in time despite being stranded abroad with the flight ban and to Tara, who has so far raised a very healthy £3,300. Tara said:

“I felt really excited to put on my pact vest on the day: I am very grateful to be able to run for them. It took me almost an hour to meet up with my family afterwards. But I was so ecstatic, I wasn't that bothered. Today is the first day since Sunday when I can walk down the stairs without having tears in my eyes!”

And there’s still time to show some solidarity for sore feet and make a donation online at www.justgiving.com/prisonadvice

Thank you to all those who gave and raised money for pact this spring. Each contribution goes to our work with prisoners’ families – from the £20 that will buy toys to keep prisoners' children happy on stressful prison visits to the £1,000 that will pay for a newly released prisoner to get the help and support they need to not re-offend in a Basic Caring Community.
