Get ready for Prisoners' Sunday

Every year, churches up and down the country mark Prisoners' Sunday - a day for you to think about, pray for and act for all those affected by imprisonment.

This year, Prisoners' Sunday will fall on 21st November - but churches are encouraged to mark the date on any Sunday in November that they choose.

The theme of this year's Prisoners' Sunday and Prisons Week is Be With Me.


London Marathon runners raise over £7,000 for pact

On Sunday the 25th of April four fit and determined people ran the London Marathon – an incredible 26 miles from Black Heath to the Mall. Alongside some of the fastest people in the world, our runners went the whole distance for pact and are well on their way to raising a combined total of over £7,000.


Countdown to election day

On election day 2010, another 53 people will be released from prison with no home to go to.

As many as 48 children will be separated from their mother due to her imprisonment. That’s enough to fill two primary school classrooms.

The state will spend £30 million dealing with the consequences of re-offending.

And we’ll elect a new government. What will it do to help prisoners and their families make a fresh start?


pact to run services for families at Nottingham Prison

Sunrise over NottinghamSunrise over Nottinghampact has been awarded a contract to run family support services at a new, purpose-built centre at Nottingham Prison.


Prisoners' families are invited to an all-night extravaganza at the Science Museum, London

The Science Museum are offering 200 exclusive free places at a sleepover on Saturday February 20th.

The places are open only to families of prisoners with children aged 6-14. All accompanying adults must be over 21.

It'll be a fun-packed night which will include:

  • fun workshops
  • sleeping under rockets
  • snacks and breakfast provided
  • 3D film in their IMAX cinema
  • pampering sessions for the adults
  • and much more!
