Prisoners' children get a taste of family life at Dartmoor prison

Children will play games with their imprisoned fathers today in a special event at Dartmoor Prison supported by the Big Lottery Fund
It is the launch of Play in Prisons, a three-year project spearheaded by pact.
The project has been generously funded by the – the National Lottery’s ‘good causes’ fund.

Last year our runners collectively raised £10,000 – a huge contribution to our work with prisoners’ and their families.
Ed Balls opens new children's play area in Wandsworth Prison

Ed Balls, the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, and Vernon Coaker, Minister for Schools, joined pact and Pudsey Bear last Thursday to open the new children’s play area inside Wandsworth Prison.
The children’s play area has been re-built with generous funding from the prison and is staffed by pact’s playworkers and play volunteers.
Hospitality volunteers open day, Thursday 15th October

If you are interested in volunteering as a hospitality volunteer in our coffee bar at Wandsworth Prison, South London, why not come along to our volunteers open day this Thursday?
The open evening is a chance to look around the visitors' centre, speak to staff and volunteers, and find out more about what's involved.
