SNOW DISRUPTS PRISON VISITS
Today's heavy snowfall is causing massive travel disruption, particularly in London and the South East.
Update: Most prisons are managing to honour pre-booked prison visits today, despite the snow.
However, all visits are cancelled at HMP Belmarsh and HMP Brixton today.
At HMP Bronzefield, the visitors' centre is closed but people with pre-booked visits should go straight to the main gate.
If you are planning to visit someone at a prison in London or the South East today, we strongly advise that you check the news before you travel, or visit the Transport for London website
For more information about what is going on at a particular London prison, you could try calling the pact visitors' centre at that prison - most have managed to open.
Alternatively, call the prison switchboard and ask for advice about visits - find the relevant phone number here
pact's services in the West Country remain relatively unaffected.
