Grahame Hawkings spent his early years travelling the world in the army as a soldier in the Grenadier Guards. During this time, he spent time in the Hong Kong, Germany, Kenya, Belize and Northern Ireland. He joined the prison service in 1998 and worked in a number of prisons in Yorkshire, Lancashire and London, as well as a spell at Prison Service HQ as part of a new prison construction programme. As Governor of HMP/YOI Isis, he worked with Pact who delivered a range of services in the prison. Now retired, he joined the Pact Board of Trustees in July 2017.
