Philip is a Director in the Legal Department of Barclays Bank where he has worked for nine years.  Prior to joining Barclays, Philip trained and qualified with Clifford Chance LLP and spent time working in both their New York and London offices, before which he graduated from the University of Exeter with an LLB in Law.  Having worked as a lawyer in the financial services industry for nearly sixteen years (both within private practice and in-house) Philip has advised on a wide range of legal and regulatory issues, as well as providing strategic direction at a time of unprecedented public interest in banks and the services they provide.  Philip’s appointment as a Trustee of Pact in 2014 was his first charitable appointment and one where he enjoys leveraging the skills he has developed in his legal career for the benefit of a charity which supports those who may not have had access to the support and education from which he has benefited.
