Every year more than 300,000 children are separated from their mums or dads through imprisonment. Christmas can be a painful time for these families. But you can help make the festive season a little brighter through Operation Elf.

How does it work?

Pact’s Operation Elf Appeal provides gift cards for parents in prison to give to their children at Christmas. Our teams in prisons across England and Wales identify families in need and arrange for gift cards to be delivered to parents in time for our Christmas family days. The gesture enables parents to maintain their parental identity and offers children the opportunity to choose a gift they really want.

What can you do to help?

Postal strikes have affected how we usually run Operation Elf this year. You can either:

a) purchase a £15 gift card (or multiple cards of £15 value each) and send to us at Pact HQ by 30th November. Find out more here: https://www.prisonadvice.org.uk/operation-elf

b) donate directly to the Operation Elf Appeal, and our elves will purchase gift cards on your behalf. You can do this using the DONATE button above.
