The Prison Advice and Care Trust (Pact), a national charity that supports prisoners, people with convictions and their families, today announced their partnership with CCLA, one of the UK’s leading fund managers, managing investments for charities, religious organisations and the public sector.

The charity, which this year celebrates its 120th Anniversary, is thrilled to have secured support from CCLA, who will be sponsoring a celebratory reception launching the anniversary year on 20th September 2018. The reception, which will follow a Mass, will take place in the historic St Ethelreda’s Church in London, with special guest His Excellency Edward Adams, The Papal Nuncio. Thanks to CCLA’s sponsorship, attendees at the event will also be given a free copy of Pact’s special anniversary booklet, which documents the charity’s rich 120 year history.

CCLA has also generously funded Pact’s anniversary Prisoners’ Sunday campaign - Pact’s largest campaign of the year which engages with all parishes across England and Wales. During the year, Pact aims to double their number of volunteers and increase donations to enable the charity to offer vital support to the ever growing number of people they work with in prison and in the community.

Michael Quicke OBE, CCLA Chief Executive said:

CCLA is delighted to support Pact’s vision of a fairer world for prisoners and their families. We have been helping charities, religious and public sector organisations to maximise their impact on society for 60 years, by harnessing the power of the investment markets.

Commenting on the partnership, Andy Keen-Downs Pact CEO said:

CCLA is enabling Pact to invest in our own future as a charity, whilst also supporting us to tell the untold story of the past 120 years of service. We are enormously grateful to CCLA, and look forward to working with them to encourage and support communities, churches and others to work together with us for the common good, and help us achieve our vision of a fresh start for people affected by imprisonment.
