You can help your donations go further by donating through Gift Aid. Gift Aid allows Pact to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate at no extra cost to you.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a scheme run by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to allow charities to recover the tax paid on most donations we receive. This means we receive extra money from these donations, at no extra cost to our supporters. You can find out more about Gift Aid on the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) website.

How much extra can you claim?

Pact can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate. We can do this as long as you make the donation from your own funds and have paid at least the basic rate of UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax during the tax year. We cannot claim Gift Aid on donations made through Parish or group collections.

How do I give?

  • You can tick the Gift Aid box on any donations you make to us by post or on our website.
  • You can download and complete a gift declaration form and send it to us at This form will allow us to claim Gift Aid on donations you have made in the past four years, and any donations you make going forward.

What happens if I no longer want to give, or am not eligible to give Gift Aid?

If your circumstances change and you no longer pay enough tax, it’s important to tell us. You can email us at to remove yourself from our Gift Aid claim process at anytime. It’s important to tell us as soon as possible if your circumstances change because if you don't tell us and we continue claiming Gift Aid, you will need to pay the difference back to HMRC.
