Advent Carol Service
Date/Time: Tuesday 2 December 2025, 7pm
Venue: the Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception (Farm Street Church)
For many, Christmas is a time of joy and togetherness, but for around 120,000 children in England and Wales, Christmas morning will dawn with their mum or dad behind bars. Families separated by imprisonment can often feel forgotten during this season of hope.
Join us at our Annual Advent Carol Service as we stand in solidarity with those who will spend Christmas apart. Together, we will pray, sing, and reflect on the power of compassion and new beginnings at this most sacred time of year.
The service will be presided over by The Rt Rev Richard Moth, Bishop of Arundel & Brighton and Catholic Liaison Bishop for Prisons, and we will be uplifted in song by voices from Sacred Heart High School Choir. Following the service, you are warmly invited to join us for refreshments.
While the service is free to attend, we will take up a collection to support our vital work with prisoners, their children, and their families. You can also make a donation when registering. Your generosity can help families separated by imprisonment rebuild their lives and discover that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope.
