Announcing Pact's new ambassadors
We’re extremely proud to announce Pact's new ambassadors - 13 passionate individuals who will work with us to drive real change for people affected by the criminal justice system.
At Pact, our mission is rooted in compassion, dignity, and justice. Every day, we work to support people in prison and their families, especially children and young people who are so often the hidden victims of the criminal justice system. The Pact Ambassador Scheme is a step forward in supporting this mission.
Our ambassadors are more than supporters - they are changemakers. They will help us to build bridges of opportunity for people in prison, offering the realistic hope of a fresh start.
Many of those we support have experienced trauma, abuse, or mental illness and their imprisonment is often a consequence of deep-rooted challenges. Our ambassadors will play a vital role in raising awareness of these complex realities, as well as challenging stigma and inspiring others to get involved - whether by volunteering, donating, or campaigning for change.
This scheme is also about empowering voices. We believe that people with lived experience of the justice system have unique insights and perspectives that can shape better policies and practices. Our Ambassadors will help to elevate these voices, ensuring they are heard in places where decisions are made.
I am deeply grateful to the 13 eminent people from a wide range of backgrounds who have stepped forward to become Pact Ambassadors and excited about working with them.
