Meet Pact’s 2026 London Marathon Team

Every year, the TCS London Marathon brings together thousands of runners taking on an extraordinary challenge — and for charities like Pact, it’s more than just a race. The funds raised help us continue our vital work supporting people in prison and their families, strengthening relationships, and helping to build safer, more connected communities.

We’re proud to introduce our incredible 2026 runners, each bringing their own story, passion, and commitment to Pact’s mission. Please join us in cheering them on — and, if you can, supporting their fundraising efforts.

Rainer Fuchsluger

Rainer recently visited a prison for the very first time — an experience he describes as humbling and eye‑opening. Even brief interactions left him with deep respect for the resilience of people inside prison and those who work there.

The visit challenged many of his assumptions and gave him “a renewed sense of empathy and a deeper understanding of the complexities of the criminal justice system.” As he reflected on the experience, one idea stood out strongly:

“Behind the walls and systems are individuals with families, hopes, and the potential for change.”

He shared that seeing Pact’s work up close left a lasting impression — from the way we help families stay connected to the practical and emotional support we offer people preparing for life after release.

“It’s a privilege to run the London Marathon in support of Pact,” he says.

LeRon Hunte-St.Rose

April 2026 will mark LeRon’s very first full marathon — and he’s taking it on for a cause he cares deeply about.

As a qualified lawyer, he has seen how the justice system affects not only individuals, but families and whole communities. He knows that behind every conviction, there is often a story the public never sees — lack of proper legal advice, challenging life circumstances, or situations where the system simply failed.

Whatever the circumstances, LeRon believes everyone deserves to be heard and supported without judgement. That’s why he chose to run for Pact.
Our work helping people maintain family ties and rebuild their lives aligns closely with his belief in dignity, fairness, and second chances.

He is aiming to raise £2,000 for Pact.

Kristen Benninger

Kristen is a Family Medicine doctor with Duke Primary Care and has dedicated much of her professional life to supporting incarcerated individuals. She previously worked for a year in North Carolina’s men’s prison hospital, provided pro bono medicolegal support during the COVID‑19 pandemic, and volunteers with a nonprofit that sends books to people in prison.

“I am honoured and excited to be running a marathon in one of my favourite cities in the world in support of an important cause,” she says. The London Marathon will be her second marathon, following Chicago in 2025.

Supporting incarcerated people is a cause deeply meaningful to her — making this challenge all the more special.

George Pawelczak

George is “beyond excited” to be running the TCS London Marathon for Pact. He chose Pact because of our work reducing reoffending and supporting people and families on both sides of the prison walls.

He has been running for several years and has enjoyed cheering on friends and family as they completed the London Marathon. Now, it’s his turn — and he’s aiming to complete the London Classics along the way.

“I’m looking forward to taking on this challenge in front of the fantastic London crowd and in support of Pact.”

We’re so proud of this year’s runners — each one taking on an enormous personal challenge to help strengthen families and build safer communities.

If you can, please consider supporting their fundraising or sharing their stories. Every step they take, and every pound raised, helps us continue our work with people in prison and their loved ones.
