Pact Chair to stand down after ten years of service

Phil Taylor OBE announced at last week’s AGM that he intends to stand down as Pact’s Chair of Trustees after ten years’ service.  

Phil has been a trustee of Pact since 2013, following a career in the prison service, during which he worked at 12 prisons including Wormwood Scrubs where he was Governing Governor. Read our recent interview with Phil here: An interview with Phil Taylor

Phil was presented with a special award for his service by Ina De, the High Sherriff of Greater London at the AGM and Volunteer Awards 2023 on September 20. He will continue to chair the Pact board until early 2024.  

Phil Taylor OBE said: “It has been a privilege to be involved in Pact’s work over the last decade. The organisation does fantastic work, supporting people through a sentence, keeping families together and ultimately helping people to make a fresh start. My chairmanship has spanned a period of significant change and I have no doubt that the charity will continue to go from strength-to-strength in the years ahead.”
