Latest News Pact launches ‘Hear Our Voice’ project for children and young people affected by imprisonment We are pleased to announce the launch of ‘Hear Our Voice’, a project generously funded by Comic Relief and the Pilgrim Trust which aims to raise awareness and improve practice for children affected by familial imprisonment. We will be working in partnership with Place2Be to develop and deliver training in London schools on how to better support children and young people affected by the imprisonment of a family member. We will also be working with the police in order to raise awareness and improve practice to minimise the harm caused to children when arrests and raids are carried out in their family homes. A key part of this project is to empower young people to share their thoughts and opinions on the criminal justice system, on how the imprisonment of a loved one has affected them and what they would like to see change. We will be running a series of sessions and workshops led by youth workers who will offer emotional support, and provide a safe, parent-free environment where young people can talk to their peers who have experienced a similar situation.
